Mt. Chamser Kangri & Mt. Lungser Kangri

Mt. Lungser Kangri & Mt. Chamser Kangri

6666m & 6622m located in the eastern part of Ladakh's Changthang region

    Lungser Kangri & Chamser Kangri

Embark on a once-in-a-lifetime adventure to Chamser Kangri (6,622 meters) and Lungser Kangri (6,666 meters)—two of the highest trekking peaks in Ladakh, located in the remote and stunning Changthang region near the Tibetan border. These twin summits are part of the Rupshu Valley, offering a rare opportunity for trekkers and mountaineers to push beyond 6,600 meters in an isolated, high-altitude environment.

What makes the Chamser and Lungser Kangri expedition truly unique is the elevated base altitude of the Changthang plateau, averaging around 4,500 meters. This high starting point reduces the overall vertical ascent and aids significantly in altitude acclimatization, making it an ideal expedition for climbers looking to experience Himalayan summits above 6,500 meters.

Despite their towering heights, both peaks are technically non-difficult, making them suitable for experienced trekkers and aspiring mountaineers aiming to transition into high-altitude climbing. The route involves challenging trekking over rugged terrain, remote landscapes, and thin air, demanding excellent physical fitness and mental resilience.
