Mt. Cho Oyu, the world’s sixth highest mountain at 8,201m/26906ft, is located west of Mt. Everest along the Nepali-Tibetan border. A straight forward climb and not technically demanding, an excellent mountain for climbers wanting to scale their first 8,000m peak with out taking much risk. Due to the ease of access to the base camp, this peak is by far the most popular among the 8000ers, after Mt. Everest.
